Common problems of the foot: Heel pain

13 May

plantar fasciitis illustrationPlantar Fasciitis, commonly known as heel pain, is one of the most common and persistent foot problems affecting men and women over forty years old, especially those who are overweight.

Plantar Fasciitis originates directly on the heel bone or in the foot’s connective tissue and heel pain results when these tissues become inflamed. Pain in the heel is most pronounced when getting out of bed in the morning and then returns later in the day as time on your feet increases.

If you believe you’re experiencing symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis, please make an appointment with one of the podiatrists at East Penn Foot and Ankle Associates today before your pain worsens and to avoid further injury to your foot.
